How to place a bid
|
You can only bid for Mutual Exchange properties if you have an active Mutual Exchange application and you should only bid for properties where you match what the advertiser is looking for.
For example, if the advertiser is looking for a 3 bedroom house in Central Derby, ideally that is the type of property you should be advertising. Of course, there is nothing to stop you bidding for that property, just don't be surprised if the advertiser turns you down.
Please bid sensibly - if you are a single person in a 1 bedroom flat, there is very little point in bidding to exchange with someone advertising a 4 bedroom house. Firstly, your property will most likely be too small for the other family, secondly the landlord will not allow you to under occupy that property.
What IS a bid?Don't be worried about the word 'bid', you won't be parting with any money. All it means is that you are actively interested and wish to be considered for the property or properties you are applying for. |
ReminderPlease do not make any arrangements to move house without written approval from your landlord.
