Joining Derby Home Swap
To apply to join Derby Home Swap you must be a secure Council tenant or an assured housing association tenant. If you are unsure, please contact your landlord.
You will need to complete an application form which can be filled in online, or a paper copy can be obtained from your landlord or the Housing Options Centre. The online application is in two parts - to join the scheme, and to advertise your property.

When you apply to join Derby Home Swap online, you will have the opportunity to upload a photo of your property, which will be displayed both on the website and in our newsletter. Once you submit your photo, it will then be checked by your landlord before it gets published.
If you do not complete the application form correctly, if it was a paper form it will be returned to you, if it was an online form we will send you a message online. Until your application is approved you will not be able to participate in Derby Home Swap.
What happens once I have registered?
We will write to tell you:-
- Your unique reference number and memorable date password
- That any photos have been approved
- The expiry date of your advert
You must tell us if there are any changes in your circumstances, or you can edit your application online. Any changes will need to be approved by your landlord. Until such time, people viewing your property advert will see the original details. Please note, if you need to add or remove family members from your application, you will need to contact your landlord.
ReminderPlease do not make any arrangements to move house without written approval from your landlord.
