How to Use Derby Home Swap

Mutual Exchange enables two council or housing association tenants to swap properties. This enables you to live in the property and area you want.

All available properties are advertised on this website and in a newsletter published weekly, that can be obtained from your landlord. The newsletter will hold all the available Mutual Exchange properties.

You can look in the newsletter or website to find properties that interest you. You can bid for properties if you have an active Mutual Exchange application. You can swap properties with people who have a different landlord to your own.

You can bid in a number of ways:

• Online at www.derbyhomefinder.org
• Using one of our kiosks

To help you decide which properties to bid for, you can see if applicants are interested in your type of property and location. You can also complete a general search for all properties registered on Derby Home Swap.
