EMHomeBuy are part of East Midlands Housing Association and is the government’s assigned HomeBuy agent for the East Midlands. They work closely with Housing associations, Local Authorities and developers so you know you are dealing with a reputable organisation.
EMHomeBuy acts as a ‘One Stop Shop’ to provide information, advice and access to affordable home ownership in the East Midlands and they market all kinds of different schemes.
Choices range from one bed roomed properties to family homes. You may qualify for one of the schemes if you do not own a property in the UK and have a household income of less than £60,000 per year. The options are:
Shared Ownership means you can buy a property for between 25 – 75% of the full value on a part buy part rent basis.
Rent to Buy is designed for people who cannot afford a mortgage now but will be able to within the next few years. You pay a reduced rent for a period of three years while you save for a deposit and after this you buy the property usually on a shared ownership basis.
FirstBuy helps first time buyers purchase a new property by providing an equity loan of 20% while you fund the other 80% through a deposit and mortgage.
HomeBuy Direct helps you purchase a new property by providing an equity loan of 30% while you fund the other 70% through a deposit and mortgage.
